4. Global Banking Summit

The event promises to address the forces shaping global finance, from the macro to the micro. The theme is around competition, volatility and structural change.

Over 1000 attendants are expected at the event, alongside 150 speakers, across 75 sessions and 7 stages. The robust agenda includes an overview of CEO perspectives on global banking, multiple networking events and several keynote interviews.

While registration is open for the physical event, with tickets ranging from early bird one day passes to full on delegate packages, there is also an online component. For £209, visitors can register for digital passes on the Global Banking Summit website.3

5. Finextra Webinars

Finextra Research is a trusted digital platform that provides information and education around the Fintech community. This financial technology is at the cutting edge of the banking space and Finextra aims to tackle a wide range of specific issues in this area, with its vast roster of webinars.

With over 300 webinars available to view online already and 60 events in the past year alone, there are plenty of critical discussions to join. Upcoming events such as ‘Fact or Fiction: Exploring the reality of AI in payments testing,’ and ‘Rethinking Fraud: Where regulation, technology and criminal behaviour are heading,’ demonstrates the breadth of the topics available.

6. BAFT Global Annual Meeting

The 2026 BAFT Global Annual Meeting took place in May and already speculation has turned to when and where the 2027 event will be. Regardless of the details on offer right now, what is evident is that this is a can’t-miss calendar moment, with transaction banking, trade finance and cross-border payment set to be discussed.

The 2026 event featured four days full of bilateral meetings and networking events, with a focus on the BAFT lounge and other conference receptions. 582 attendees from 163 companies were treated to speeches from 87 speakers. This is a conference about seizing new opportunities and thriving in an evolving geopolitical backdrop.

The Banking Association for Trade and Finance tickets started at around the $2000 mark, but potential registrants must keep track of the BAFT website for details concerning next year’s event.5

7. Banking Transformation Summit Europe

Date: 18th-19th May, 2027

Europe is coming to the United Kingdom to discuss the transformative nature of banking in the modern world. That means addressing technology, AI and regulation as banks shape what comes next. This is an event about having honesty and integrity at the heart of what’s discussed.

8. Money 20/20 Europe

Whether you want to hear from startups, banks, accountancy firms, big tech or policy-makers, Money 20/20 is the place you need to be. Its 2026 edition saw over 7,500 attendees, alongside over 2,300 attending companies, 450+ speakers and 375+ sponsors. This is the space for innovators.

1 in 3 leaders that attend are C-Suite, making this a valuable networking opportunity. But this is also a chance to engage in the event’s theme, which is focused on machines and humans working together for a more efficient working practice.
