That's settled.

FAQ

What service is Wise offering me?

We’re offering our Android devices to customers who need to apply for EU settled status, who don’t have a personal Android device, and who find visiting our offices to be easier than sending their documents off in the post or than paying for the privilege of a document check at one of the government centres.

All of our Android devices are equipped with the technology needed to pass the EU Exit ID check step in the application process, which is only available on Android. People are welcome to go through the entire application process at Wise, but an Android device is only vital for the document check.

We hope that by launching this initiative we can help our customers and eliminate one of the barriers when people go through the make the settled status application process.

What can I do if I can’t find a time that suits me?

We are currently offering over 150 30 minutes slots across three days. If you can’t find a time that’s right for you, please email thatssettled@wise.com, we may extend this initiative, we’ll keep you posted!

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

You can easily cancel your appointment via the link in your booking confirmation email. If you have any issues with your booking and need to speak to the team, please email us at thatssettled@wise.com.

Why do I even need to fill in this application?

From 30 March 2019, all EU nationals living in the UK are required to apply for EU settled status. Applying for settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme means you will be able to remain living in the UK indefinitely. As things stand, the application deadline is June 2021.

You can find more information and support about the EU Settlement Scheme and on the Government website.

Is this a Government affiliated initiative?

No, we are offering this independently of the Government. That means we’re just offering our Android devices for the purposes of uploading your ID documents for your application. We can’t offer any further advice about the scheme or your individual circumstances, but you can find more information on the official Government website.

I don’t know if I’m eligible to apply - what should I do?

You can find out more about whether you are eligible to apply via the Government website here.
