Over the last three months, Wise Platform, has announced a new partnership in the UK to make it even easier for banks to work with us, hosted our first Wise Connect event in the US and continued to advocate for the need for fast, secure and transparent international payments at leading industry events.

AbbeyCross

In September, we announced that Wise Platform partnered with AbbeyCross to offer better choice, price transparency and overall payment settlement experiences to the global banks and money service businesses that use the AbbeyCross ABX Platform. Events

Wise Connect US

On 12 September, we hosted our first ever Wise Connect event in the US. We gathered payments leaders in San Francisco to explore the critical need for price transparency, robust compliance, instant payments and also took a deep dive into the emerging trends shaping the future of international payments with speakers from organisations like Bluevine, Nubank, Bank of America and Column. Intersekt

In Australia, Wise Platform’s APAC General Manager, Samarth Bansal, spoke on a panel at Australia’s biggest fintech conference, Intersekt. The session explored some of the challenges and opportunities for cross border payments through the interlinking of domestic instant payment systems (IPS), where Samarth was able to touch on increased interoperability, bilateral linkages and connectivity with real time payments.

11:FS Fintech Insider News

In the UK, Wise Platform’s Head of UK & Europe Partnerships, Roisin Levine took to the stage to record an episode of the Fintech Insider News podcast live in front of 250+ FS professionals from tier one banks, fintechs and regulators. Roisin was joined by Barclays’ and Starling Bank’s former CPO, the CEO of One Banx and the Head of VC at 11:FS to discuss the week's top fintech stories. The podcast is streaming on Spotify and YouTube.

DBS Fintech Connect

At an event of leading bank DBS in Singapore, Wise Platform’s APAC General Manager, Samarth Bansal spoke at a panel and discussed the importance of gaining direct access to local payment schemes to enhance cross-border payments for customers and how we’re continually investing in our infrastructure with sustainability in mind. He also spoke about the unique culture of Wise, our mission, and the story behind Wise Platform, as we empower more banks and global businesses to provide the same level of experience to their customers.

APIDays

At APIDays in London, Max Sadlowski, Wise Platform Engineer, delivered a keynote on how Wise connects banks and financial institutions through our API, showcasing a real-world transfer between Monzo and Nubank, both Wise Platform partners.

24 Fintech

At the 24 Fintech conference in Saudi Arabia, Wise Platform’s Head of Commercial, Abid Mumtaz joined a panel with Remitly, Swift, and RCBC discussing how global fintech and financial services firms impacted the globe by providing easier access to financial services and how traditional financial services companies are keeping up with the rapidly evolving needs of global consumers.
