We have some excellent news to share: we’ve received our second licence from the Central Bank of Brazil, this time as a payment institution. Until now, we...
It’s official.
You can now use Wise to send US Dollars to any other currency on our platform. And even better, that list now includes Brazil, the Philippines, Canada, Malaysia and Nigeria.
That means our little revolution now serves a piece of every continent. (Well, we’re still working on Antarctica, hold tight penguins).
Today is the next step in taking Wise truly global.
To help more people around the world beat hidden charges.
January's $58 million investment helped us get here.
But the biggest thank you? It goes to you. Our fellow revolutionaries.
We couldn't have got this far without you.
Our story (that's all of us, including you) in pictures:
...with more than a little help from our fellow revolutionaries.
Since day one Wise has been built around you, our members. We’re continually optimising Wise based on your brilliant feedback, and these new currency routes were voted for by you.
A huge revolutionary thanks for that.
The most remarkable part? What drives us forward the most is people who’ve found Wise, passing on the word to people who haven’t.
By sharing Wise to your friends and family you help build a product that serves everyone.
If you don’t need these new currencies, maybe you know someone who does?
The more we are, the stronger we are.
Onwards!
Taavet & Kristo, Wise founders
