Wise saves couple £1,500 on dream wedding

Wise

The Mail on Sunday exposes how banks are "siphoning millions of pounds a year" from consumers and speaks to one Wise user who has had enough of being ripped off.

We were very happy to read about how Kirsten and Darrel saved £1,500 on their wedding in Italy by using Wise. Kirsten said they had a lot to organise and it was "fantastic to be able to save on the cost of exchanging the money." We’re pleased we made the run-up to the big day that bit easier for them! Kirsten said, "We saved around £1,500 and also had a dashboard on the website showing everything we had spent and the exchange rate we got." An awesome story! It's great to see a national newspaper calling out the banks for ripping off consumers. Personal finance expert Laura Shannon revealed that the hidden charges banks use are "disadvantaging retired expats, homeowners with overseas property and parents sending money to children studying or travelling abroad." We've been working hard to expose how banks are ripping-off consumers with our nothing2hide campaign, so we're thrilled to see such a big publication support our message.
