Let’s take a look at some Revolut limits you should know about, so you could avoid paying fees:
Daily and monthly transfer limits¹ | Usually none |
---|---|
Exchange and fair usage limits² | Standard plan: £1,000 Plus plan: £3,000 Premium, Metal and Ultra plans: none |
Contactless limits³ | £100 per transaction, £300 in total |
Withdrawal limits⁴ | £3,000 |
Cash deposit limits⁵ | £2,250 per month, £10,000 per year |
In general, there aren’t any Revolut limits when it comes to transfers. This applies to local and international transfers and you can send large amounts without worrying. However, there might be an exception when it comes to some currencies, but you’ll be able to see that in the app before sending money.¹
The amount of money you can exchange each month depends on the Revolut plan you have.
If you’re a Standard user, you can exchange up to £1,000 per month and pay a fair usage fee of 1% on anything exceeding that. Plus plan users can exchange up to £3,000 and pay a 0.5% fair usage fee on any additional exchange.²
Premium, Metal and Ultra users don’t have a set exchange limit, so they don’t pay any fair usage fees.²
Besides this, Revolut users should also be aware of weekend exchange limits and fees. You can exchange currency fee-free until 5pm on a Friday. However, between 5pm on a Friday and 6pm on a Sunday, there’s an additional weekend exchange fee which adds another 1% to the standard Revolut exchange rate.⁶

There’s a £100 contactless Revolut limit per transaction. When it comes to total limits, you can spend £300 altogether before typing in your PIN. However, this doesn’t apply to paying with Apple or Google Pay or for paying at unattended transport terminals, such as paying at the London Tube.³
You can withdraw cash with Revolut up to £3,000 in 24 hours. This also applies to other currencies equivalents. When it comes to monthly limits, you can set them yourself in the Revolut app.⁴
If you want a cash top-up for your Revolut account, the limit is £750 per day or 3 top-ups. Then, if you want to make a larger cash deposit, there’s a £2,250 Revolut limit per month. Finally, you can deposit up to £10,000 a year.⁵
