How to to create a quote in 5 easy steps.

  1. Fill in your company and contact information, date, the quote number and how long it’s valid for - A commercial invoice is usually used as part of the import process when bringing goods into the US from overseas.

  2. Indicate the client details - Add your logo or branding to make it easy for your client to see who the quote is for, and how to get in touch to book the job. Setting out important information, like the validity of the estimate, upfront reduces confusion and creates a professional and transparent first impression.

  3. Add an itemized list of services, supplies needed or goods - To complete the quote you’ll need to add in a line by line listing of the jobs costs. Depending on the details, this could include the services you provide, or the supplies needed to get the work done. Add details like item descriptions and price - and remember to indicate the total cost and any special terms.

  4. Convert your Google Docs quote template into a PDF so the customer receives a convenient and compact quote when you send it on email - PDF format quotes can be opened from more or less any device - and with our smart quotation template, they’ll look great too. If needed you can even add a password to the document before you hit send.

  5. Indicate the method of payment and the total amount to be paid - For international transfers, get paid for free using your Wise local bank details for the US, UK, Eurozone, Australia or New Zealand and more.
