How much you can send and receive differs depending on whether your Cash App account is verified or not. If you verify your account, your Cash App limit will increase.¹
Although there’s no Cash App daily limit, with an unverified account you’re limited to receiving $1,000/month. You’re also restricted to a Cash App weekly sending limit of $250.²
To verify your account, all you have to do is:
- Open the app
- Try to send a payment of more than $250
- Cash App will automatically prompt you to verify your account, so follow the steps
- Provide your full name, date of birth and the last four digits of your social security number
- Complete the remaining steps and submit the verification form¹
If Cash App is happy with the information you provided, then they’ll verify your account. This will allow you to increase your Cash App sending limit from $250/week to $7,500/week and your receiving limit will become unlimited.²
Here are the Cash App limits for verified versus unverified accounts, as well as a comparison with Wise’s sending limits.

Send large amounts with Wise 💰
Unlike with Cash App sending limits, you can’t increase your Cash App withdrawal limit, regardless of whether or not your account is verified.

It’s worth noting that with Wise the basic limit can originally be lower than what’s in the table above. But you can easily change that by going to the “Account Limits” section in the Wise app.
If you’re looking to withdraw large amounts of cash, then switching to Wise might be a smart option.
When it comes to Cash App’s unique “Cash card”, there are also some spending limits you should be aware of. Again, the Cash App spending limit - just like the Cash App withdrawal limit - cannot be increased.
Here are the Cash App daily, weekly and monthly spending limits for its Cash card, as well as those of Wise's card.

If you’re a frequent user of Cash App, it’s a good idea to verify your account so you can at least increase your sending limit.
Alternatively, if you’re looking to send more money, with minimal fees, then using Wise is a great option. With Wise you can send, spend and withdraw larger amounts of money.
