We’re waiving fees on donations to charities supporting Ukraine
It's tragic to watch Russia attacking Ukraine and commit increasing violence against civilians on a daily basis. The war is a horrifying reality for people in Ukraine, their friends and family. We stand with Ukraine and its people, including all our Wisers, their families and friends. We also call for an end to the war and a return to peace in the region.
Our team of Wisers is made up of over 90 nationalities, with offices all over the world — including Cherkasy, Ukraine. We’re committed to helping however we can.
You can still send money to Ukraine
Wise exists for people without borders. We want to help by doing what we do best: moving money. We are doing everything we can to continue offering our service to send money to people in Ukraine. Our money transfers were initially capped at £200, but we’ve worked to raise those limits to £100,000 so people can support friends and family in Ukraine more effectively.
We've lowered our fees
We've been able to reduce our fees, so it's now cheaper for you to send money to Ukraine. Instead of paying €16.98 when you send €1000 to UAH, you now pay €6.23.
Donate to charities for free
We want to encourage our customers to donate to charities in Ukraine too. That's why we will be waiving fees to the charities listed below. 100 % of your money will go to charity if you donate to Ukrainian emergency funds. As a start, Wise has donated £100,000 to UNHCR, the UN refugee agency which helps provide refugees with the support they need.
How to donate?
- Once you're logged in, select a new transfer to 'Business or charity'.
- Enter the charity's bank details.
You will see that all fees are waived in the transfer review screen.
