Anna Allgaier

“Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life again.” Ok honey, whatever you say.

Just kidding, I love my job. Plus at Wise we get to work 90 days a year wherever the flip we want. Jealous? Good. (Apply here❤️)

If you want to liv lavida loca too, it’s your lucky day because I’ve put together a list of seasonal jobs you can get your lovely little hands on. I’m talking the best holiday jobs out there. The Crème de la Crème.

Get your namaste on, glide down the slopes, sail through the sunset. Live your best life.

Here they are.

Send your money on holiday

What are seasonal jobs?

You may already know the answer to this. But Google search told me a lot of you don’t so I’m here to enlighten you.

Seasonal jobs are… omg you guessed, it, seasonal. Some businesses are only open during short stints of the year or need more help from time to time. Temporary work basically.

Now for the jobs.

Ski season jobs: let it snow baby

If skiing makes you go yippee then this is one for you. And if your skiing skills aren’t fabulous you can apply for service jobs too. Lucky for you, Season Workers have put together what can only be described as a Bible on how to apply. Some of the top countries looking for people like you, yes you are:

France

Switzerland

Austria

Italy

The US

Canada

OMG gnarly, become a Surf instructor

Forgot to mention that you actually need to be a qualified instructor to do the skiing gig, and this. This entails doing a course, getting some documents that say you probably won't get anyone killed because you can surf, getting some safety certificates and finding a position.

Say namaste baybay and become a Yoga instructor

Also need to actually be qualified. Makes sense. Yoga retreats, hotels, private instructors. The sky’s the limit, which is ironic because you’re all about grounding people.

God that was awful.

Be the hostess with the mostest: Chalet host jobs

See, I told you there’s more to ski season than just falling over on the bunny slope. As a chalet host you’ll be in charge of cooking, cleaning and being there for the guests.

Cook up a storm and with a private chef job

The last thing people want to do on holiday is cook for themselves, so if you’re a chef YOUR SERVICES ARE REQUIRED. Work on a boat, a villa, I can’t think of any more examples but there are probably loads.

Live out your Below Deck fantasy with a yachting job

If you haven’t seen Below Deck and don’t get the reference then you shouldn’t be in yachting hun. I’d say “no shade intended” but there is totally shame intended. Anyway, yachts are always looking for crew (see, I know the industry lingo.) Deck crew, engineers, interior crew, nurses, spa peeps, personal trainers, YOGA INSTRUCTORS, etc.

Love screaming children? Check out au pair jobs

Calling all au pairs, the children of the world need looking after and they want to be taught English too. Well, they personally don’t want to, but their parents want them to, and they’re the ones paying you so, who really cares what the kids want. Again, just kidding.

Still love screaming children? Teach English abroad

Same as above, minus the cleaning and cooking. Oh and it’s in a classroom and you get to say bye to the kids at the end of the day.

Who run this town? You do. Become a tour guide

Finally put your history degree to good use and hold english speaking tours in your new location.

Go mad and become a digital nomad

Take your work wherever you go and become a digital nomad. More on this here.

Be a good person and volunteer

If you have the time and resources, volunteers are needed everywhere ❤️and there are tons of good causes out there that need your skills. Plus, science shows that acts of kindness are the key to happiness. Win-win.
Finally, you’ll need a travel companion while you’re going full Dora Explorer, so how about taking us?Pay and get paid like a local and save money on fees.
