In June 2024, the Wise Platform team was excited to return to Money 2020 in Amsterdam to connect with industry experts and our partners from around the world to discuss the progress we’re collectively making in the cross-border payments sector.
This year’s edition also gave our team a unique opportunity once again to engage in lively conversations with payment leaders looking to explore how Wise Platform can help transform their international payments offering.
The significance of modernising payments infrastructure was a recurring theme during the event and Wise Platform’s EVP of Product, Till Wirth explained on a panel that it’s now also possible for banks and global enterprises to offer instant payments to their customers without the need for major technical lift.
He was joined on stage by Alexandra Johnson, Chief Payments Officer at Nium, Ruta Mrazauskaite, EMEA Director of Regulation & Compliance at Airwallex and Jennifer Parker, Chief Commercial Officer, Convera and emphasised that for us at Wise, an instant payment means it arrives in 20 seconds or less* - even when it’s crossing borders.
The value fintechs can add to financial institutions of all sizes through collaboration was another prominent theme at Money 20/20 Europe. It was inspiring to discuss specific use cases with other companies on how these partnerships enable easier and cheaper global money movement.
Roisin Levine, Wise Platform’s Head of UK & Europe Partnerships spoke about how our partnerships with banks and global enterprises bring faster, low-cost and transparent international payments to their customers with Financial IT during the event.
