BOO. I’m Anna, and I’m a Content Marketing Manager here at Wise. That’s a fancy way of saying, I write articles. Sometimes silly, sometimes a bit less silly. When getting down and spooky with this piece, please remember that every letter, use of lingo and attempted lol comes from me, and not Wise. That is all. Enjoy. *
It’s said that Halloween has evolved from the Celtic festival of Samhain and other harvest festivals. Samhain was a day where people would light up the town with bonfires and pop on scary costumes to scare ghosts away. Arguably, that sounds way more fun than the mediocre parties I’ve attended in my time.
While we celebrate it differently nowadays, it’s still all about embracing the scary and having a good time. If your version of a good time is putting fake blood on your face and going to a rave, fabulous. I go for the “eat an entire bag of candy corn alone at home” route. But each to their own.
In honour of merging the lols 😂 with the ahhhhs 😱, we asked some of our followers on social media to get back to us with an answer to a simple question.
And that question was: If your relationship with your finances could be described with a horror movie title, what would it be?
🔮Don’t be a basic witch, use Wise🔮
Abra cadabra, I’m feeling real sad now.
Excellent pun. Excellent reference to a film featuring the wonder Bett Midler. Just excellent all round. Well done you.
Yeah. WE KNOW. You went on holiday, and you exchanged your money at a Bureau de Change. Shame on you.
Dark. But ok.
To the point. I personally would have rolled with Gone Girl instead. But the message is the same nonetheless.
And you know where that turn was? It was in an Uber that you shouldn't have gotten.
Perhaps this means they’ve sensibly set money aside in a pension scheme. Good for them!
Again, dark, but ok.
Fair. Relatable. To the point.
