In order to open a Chase UK current account, you need to meet a few requirements. The most important one is that you’re at least 18 years old and a resident of the UK. Not only this, you cannot hold any other passports if you wish to bank with Chase.¹
You also need to be a tax resident of the UK and have a smartphone with a UK phone number. The reason for this is that you’ll need to download the official Chase UK app.¹
To open a current account, you’ll need to send Chase a picture of a valid photo ID. This can be either your passport or your UK driving licence. Along with this, you’re required to send a selfie, to prove it matches your ID photo.²
You’ll also need to provide information about your home address, tax residency and employment status. Additionally, you’ll need to prove your income and expenditure and give Chase a verified email address. Besides these documents, they have the right to request additional information or documents.²
