German VAT tax information on invoices.
As a EU member state, Germany follows the EU common VAT scheme which is applied to most goods and services sold within the European Union. Under this scheme, and to support trade between member states, exports are not usually subject to VAT, while imports are.
The standard rate of VAT - which applies to most goods and services sold in Germany - is 19%. However, some categories of goods are subject to reduced rate VAT, which sits at 7%, and other goods and services benefit from a zero rate VAT.

FAQ about creating an invoice.
What is an invoice?
An invoice is an itemized bill, issued by anyone selling goods or services. An invoice will detail the agreed prices or fees, and list out the products or services that have been provided. Upon receipt, the buyer will settle the invoice. Invoices have a practical purpose - making sure you get paid for goods or services you’ve provided a customer. They can also help to create a professional impression, and build client relationships, as well as acting as a legal record of sales made.
Can I edit my German invoice?
