If you have the US TransferWise debit Mastercard®, you can add it to your mobile wallet — whether that’s Apple, Google, or Samsung Pay. (If you have a different version of the card, you’ll be able to add it in the future.)
We definitely recommend adding the card to your mobile wallet. It will let you tap and pay with your phone, which is often easier than taking out your card and swiping or inserting it. (Assuming you have your phone on you at all times, like we do.)
It’s usually fairly easy to add your card to a mobile wallet. Here are directions for adding it to Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
There are 2 things that can prevent you from adding your card to a mobile wallet:
Unfortunately, our system can’t send the authentication text to an international number, so you won’t be able to add your card to your mobile wallet right now. Sorry about that. We’re working on fixing this, and we’ll let you know when we do.
Due to Apple, Google, and Samsung’s requirements, you need to have the actual card so you can fill out info like the PAN number, CVV, and expiration date.
If you’d like more info, check out the instructions for setting up your mobile wallet on the providers’ own sites. Here they are for Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
If you have any other questions about adding your card, or about anything else on TransferWise, just get in touch. We’re happy to help.
