Overall, there are very few instances where your Cash card will be charged fees. But, for instant deposits and ATM withdrawals, you will be liable to pay some fees.
The main one to know about is ATM fees, where you’ll be charged $2.50 per withdrawal⁴. There may also be additional fees charged by the ATM for using a card belonging to a different bank.
Cash App does offer a way to get some free ATM withdrawals, though. Receive qualifying deposits of $300 or more in your Cash App account, and you’ll be reimbursed for 3 ATM withdrawals per 31 days⁴.

Just to be clear, a Restricted Account is one where you can do everything except send money directly from your Cash App balance. To send money using a Restricted Account, you have to use your linked bank account via the app. If this just won’t do for you, then you’ll need to upgrade to an Unrestricted Account. To do this, you’ll need to provide some more personal information. Once that’s done, you can then start sending money directly from your Cash App balance. |
