Zendesk Pricing Guide 2026: Plans, AI Costs & Additional Fees Explained

Panna Kemenes

Customer support software should be easy to budget for. Yet Zendesk pricing can be complex. Published plans start at $19 per agent per month when billed annually. AI use, add-ons, setup help, and enterprise quotes can raise the total. This guide explains the current plans and the extra costs to check before you buy.

How much does Zendesk cost?

Zendesk sells a ticketing-only Support plan and broader Suite plans. Your bill depends on your plan and number of agents. It also depends on the billing term, add-ons, and use. As of August 2026, Zendesk lists three annual per-agent prices. Its enterprise tier needs a quote.1

PlanPublished annual priceMain use
Support Team$19 per agent per monthEmail and ticketing
Suite Team$55 per agent per monthOmnichannel support and core AI tools
Suite Professional$115 per agent per monthAdvanced routing, reporting, and AI tools
Suite Enterprise + CopilotCustom quoteAdvanced security, governance, and Copilot

Per-agent subscriptions

Zendesk charges for each agent seat. A five-agent team on Suite Team would pay $275 per month on an annual contract. This is before add-ons and usage fees. Costs rise as you add agents. Model both your current team and your planned team size.

Annual vs. monthly billing

Zendesk offers annual and monthly billing for eligible accounts. Its help center says annual billing comes with a large discount. It does not give one fixed rate for every plan.2 The table above shows annual prices. Check your quote or the checkout page for monthly rates and contract terms.

Zendesk Suite plans for omnichannel support

Zendesk Suite adds messaging, live chat, voice, a knowledge base, routing, and AI to ticketing. It suits teams that support customers on several channels.

Suite Team

Suite Team costs $55 per agent per month when billed annually. It includes Support Team features, AI agents, a knowledge base, Action Builder, omnichannel routing, messaging, live chat, and telephony.1

Suite Growth

You may still see Suite Growth in old comparisons or existing accounts. Zendesk does not list a separate price for it on the current public pricing page. If it appears in your quote, compare it with Suite Team and Suite Professional. Check the features and renewal terms too.

Suite Professional

Suite Professional costs $115 per agent per month when billed annually. It adds Admin Copilot, App Builder, writing tools, quick reports, skills-based routing, and an interactive voice response phone tree.1

Suite Enterprise + Copilot

Zendesk does not publish a set price for Suite Enterprise + Copilot. The plan adds smart triage, Auto Assist, generative AI for voice, approval steps, a sandbox, and custom agent roles.1 Ask for a written quote. It should split out seats, AI use, add-ons, services, and renewal terms.

Zendesk Support pricing for ticketing

Support Team is Zendesk's ticketing-focused plan. It costs $19 per agent per month when billed annually and includes email ticketing, routing, prebuilt dashboards, pre-written responses, customer context, automations, and triggers.1

Old comparisons may mention Support Professional or Support Enterprise. Zendesk does not show public prices for them on its current pricing page. Existing users should check their subscription page or ask Zendesk for a price.

What is the difference between Zendesk Support and Suite pricing?

Support Team focuses on email and ticket management. Suite Team adds channels and tools such as messaging, live chat, telephony, a knowledge base, omnichannel routing, and AI agents.1

The lower Support Team price can work for a shared inbox. Suite may offer better value if you need several channels. Separate products and add-ons can raise the total. Compare the features you will use, not only the seat price.

Zendesk AI and add-on costs

Zendesk's base plan is only one part of the budget. Some AI and staff tools have separate per-agent prices. Other features charge by use.

Copilot pricing

Copilot costs $50 per agent per month when billed annually. Zendesk lists it as an add-on. It is also part of the quote-only Suite Enterprise + Copilot package.1 For five agents, Copilot would add $250 per month before other fees.

Automated resolution charges

Zendesk measures AI-agent use through automated resolutions. Since May 18, 2026, it has tracked three types of outcome. These are assisted escalations, contained resolutions, and verified resolutions. Only verified resolutions use the account's allowance under the new model.3

Zendesk does not publish one price per resolution for all users. Your account type, allowance, usage deal, and overage settings can change the bill. Check the allowance in Admin Center. You can also ask sales for the rate and overage rules in writing. Do not treat third-party estimates as set prices.

Workforce Engagement and Contact Center

Zendesk lists the Workforce Engagement Bundle at $50 per agent per month. Contact Center is $83 per agent per month. Both prices use annual billing.1 Contact Center can also have voice and other usage fees. Suite Professional, Copilot, and Workforce Engagement total $215 per agent per month before AI or voice use.

Other Zendesk costs to budget for

The contract price may not cover every launch and running cost. Add the following items to your budget.

Onboarding and consulting

Zendesk offers paid setup services, custom training, help with settings, and extra support.4 A move from another tool can add more work. So can a multi-brand setup, workflow design, and staff training.

Contract and renewal terms

Check the billing term, renewal date, seat rules, and any price-rise clause. Zendesk says a move from annual to monthly billing may need approval. It also takes effect at the next billing cycle.2 Ask sales to put price caps and end dates in the deal.

Integrations and usage

Zendesk promotes more than 1,800 Marketplace apps and integrations.5 Some have separate fees. Action Builder, App Builder, AI, and voice may also have limits or usage fees. Add app plans, API work, and upkeep to your estimate.

Zendesk pricing compared with Freshdesk

Freshdesk is one alternative to compare. Freshdesk Omni Growth starts at $29 per agent per month when billed annually. Its Pro and Enterprise plans cost $79 and $119 per agent per month, respectively.6 Freddy AI Copilot starts at $29 per agent per month on annual billing.7

Freshdesk also offers a six-month free program for one or two agents. Zendesk offers a 14-day trial with no credit card needed.68 Price is only one factor. Also compare channels, AI limits, reports, security, apps, and moving costs.

Consider flat-fee and usage-based alternatives

Per-agent pricing makes costs rise with headcount. Some tools use a flat monthly fee, a seat bundle, or usage pricing. Model your current team and your expected team at renewal. Then add AI, voice, apps, and setup to each estimate.
