Citibank in Canada

Citibank is a well-established name amongst banks in both the US and Canada. Given its presence in 160 countries around the world, it’s no surprise that Citibank has a historical footprint in Canada, too.1 Unlike their services in the US, however, their Canadian services focus specifically on institutional banking. They target governments and institutions, provide private bank services for high-net-worth clients, and offer a banking experience for corporations looking for multinational transactions.

Citibank brings a specific selection of services to its Canadian clientele, including:

  • Markets and securities services – Government entities, corporations, and investors can enjoy value-added solutions for investment and risk management and access to global capital markets.
  • Banking, capital markets, and advisory – For corporate customers, they offer tailor-made banking solutions for capital raising, cross-border transactions, merger and acquisition, and equity-related financing solutions to help improve economic value.
  • Private banking – Citi offers wealth management capabilities to high-net-worth individuals, such as investment advice, trust and estate services, and portfolio management.
  • Treasury and trade solutions – Multinational corporations, public sector organizations, and other financial institutions can take advantage of comprehensive solutions such as cash management, liquidity management, working capital solutions, commercial card programs, and more.
  • Citi Cards – Citibank also manages three The Home Depot cards, including The Home Depot Consumer Credit Card, The Home Depot Commercial Revolving Card, and The Home Depot Commercial Account. Qualified cardholders can get benefits such as special promotions and purchase tracking options.

PNC Bank Canada Branch

PNC also features banks in the US and Canada but solely offers specialized services to serve companies that operate in both countries. They boast an integrated approach for treasury management and payments through their corporate online and mobile banking platform, PINACLE.2 Using just one Relationship Manager, PNC is an effective cross-border solution that can support all of a company’s financial activity in both the US and Canada.

PNC’s range of services focuses on capital, assets, financing, and more – let’s take a look:

  • PNC Equipment Finance – Small businesses, large corporates, municipal governments, and other institutions can use PNC Equipment Finance for all sorts of financing, helping you preserve cash, maximize cash flow, improve tax benefits, and more. There’s even the opportunity to finance a fleet of railcars or a corporate aircraft if that’s what your business is looking for.
  • PNC Business Credit – Although PNC specializes in secured financing for mid-sized companies and private equity firms, they also offer loans from $10 million to $1 billion across a range of industries. There are also a range of lending capabilities, such as channel finance, tech finance, and cash flow financing.3
  • Coordinated financing – Partner with a PNC Relationship Manager and take on new opportunities with revolving lines of credit, term loans, and more in both countries. No matter what your business goal is, you can put together your ideal financing package for high-value investments or large transactions.
