What is the Zeller Corporate Card

Zeller launched Corporate Cards in December 2023 to manage business expenses, track employee and project-related spending, and reconcile accounts.

Zeller Corporate Cards are employee debit cards linked to the Zeller Transaction Account. They help allocate set budgets and limit the risk of unauthorised transactions.¹

Who is this card for?

Zeller Corporate Cards can be useful to all kinds of businesses, be it large companies or smaller enterprises. Small business owners, CFOs, finance teams, bookkeepers, and accountants can all consider Zeller Corporate Cards to manage business expenses.¹

What are the main features and benefits of this card

Here are some features of the Zeller Corporate Cards¹:

  • Issue cards easily: You can create virtual corporate cards instantly or order physical ones easily.
  • Virtual cards: Zeller offers virtual corporate cards that can be issued instantly and added to mobile wallets. Employees can start using these virtual corporate cards within minutes of being set up.
  • Recurring budgets and transaction limits: Zeller Corporate Cards allow you to set an automated recurring budget for expenditures. You have the option to have the budget reset daily, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly. You can also implement transaction limits.
  • Expense reconciliation: Employees and teams can attach receipts, notes and invoices to expenses. Project expenses can be categorised to make reconciliation easier.
  • Real-time data access: You’ll have access to real-time data of the transactions so you can stay updated on the expenses, see the remaining budget, and adjust the schedule and transaction limits as needed.
  • Better flexibility and control: Zeller Dashboard allows for centralised expense tracking which eliminates the need for manual reimbursements.
  • Manage teams and projects: Zeller Corporate Cards can be issued to individual employees with their own set budget. You can also assign them to teams working on projects to ensure the budget is followed and there’s expense accountability.
  • Simplify employee expenditure: The set budget and transaction limitations eliminate the need to make constant personal expense submissions or requests for purchases. The corporate cards can also make employee reimbursements redundant since the funds are drawn directly from the Zeller Transaction Account where you can track the cash flow in real-time.
  • Fraud protection: Issuing corporate cards to employees and teams can improve your business’s fraud protection. Since you get a real-time view of the card usage both from Zeller’s dashboard and its app, you can quickly identify any expenses that don’t follow the guidelines.

The cons of using this card

No product comes with only benefits. Here are some cons of Zeller Corporate Cards that you should keep in mind:

  • Usage dependent on balance in Zeller Transaction Account: Zeller Corporate Cards are linked to the transaction account. So, the availability of funds depends on the balance available in the account. If there’s a delay in transferring funds into the account, you won’t be able to make any purchases.²
  • No cashbacks or rewards: Since Zeller Corporate Cards are business debit cards, you don’t receive any rewards for your business spending. On the other hand, some business credit cards issued by banks like National Australia Bank offer rewards, cashbacks and/or points to loyalty programs.³

What are the supported currencies

Zeller Corporate Cards are Mastercard debit cards that can be used in Australia and abroad wherever Mastercard is accepted.

When you purchase from a merchant overseas, the transaction will be processed in the local currency and then converted into Australian dollars as per Mastercard’s exchange rates at the time.⁴
