The online marketplace eBay is an American e-commerce corporation connecting sellers and buyers in over 190 markets globally.² Orange Connex is a Chinese logistics company that provides fourth-party logistic (4PL) services on behalf of its customers globally.¹
Both companies have partnered up to offer a new and innovative service to Australian eBay sellers that can take over all inventory control and order management for Australian businesses.¹
eBay fulfilment by Orange Connex works by allowing eBay businesses and sellers to connect their eBay store to an Orange Connex account. They send their products to an Orange Connex fulfilment warehouse and Orange Connex will handle the rest. There is also the option to store inventory onsite at any of the fulfilment warehouses, which takes out the extra step of processing.¹
Good news, eBay fulfilment by Orange Connex has recently been launched in Australia. Currently there are two fulfilment centres located in Sydney, with plans for a third to open in Melbourne in 2022.¹

Fees depend on product dimensions but start at $4.80 AUD (excluding GST) for picking, packing and delivery processing. If your business utilises storage facilities, there is a per m3 monthly fee. There are also other optional services that can be added which incur further fees.⁵
Currently eBay fulfilment by Orange Connex only ships domestically within Australia in two shipping capacities.³
At this stage there is no indication that Australian businesses will be able to ship and sell their goods internationally with this service. However, Orange Connex has the eBay Fulfilment services available in the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy, with a United States partnership coming soon.³
