It’s time to get touchy about your transfers: Wise adds Apple Pay

Apple Pay makes payments easier. Now it makes transfers easier, too.

Now on to your (probable) questions.

Can I really pay for my transfers with apples now?

So what’s the big deal?
You can now quickly and easily fund your transfer by choosing Apple Pay within the Wise. Once you do, it’s as easy as simply placing your finger on Touch ID, so you’ll never have to re-enter your payment information or card’s CVV, and even better, Apple Pay transfers are faster than bank debit transfers.

How much faster are Apple Pay transfers?
As always, the speed varies by currency. But generally speaking, an Apple Pay or card transfer will get to your recipient around one day sooner than a bank debit transfer. In some cases, your transfer can be received instantly.

Is there an extra fee for using Apple Pay?
If your Apple Pay is linked to a debit card, there’s no additional fee. If it’s linked to a credit card, the fee is an extra 2% — which goes to the credit card company.

Is it safe to use Apple Pay for my transfers?
Very. Apple Pay is like another layer of security on top of card payments. When you use a credit or debit card with Apple Pay, the actual card numbers are not stored on the device, nor on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in a secure place on your device, and each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code. Also if your device is lost or stolen, you can suspend Apple Pay, so no one else can make payments with it.

Is it available for everyone in the US?
Unfortunately it's not yet available if your address is in one of the following states: Illinois, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia.
