Stop typing, start uploading — your shortcut for adding new recipients
Paying someone new? Don’t waste time typing out their bank details or double-checking their IBAN. Upload a screenshot or invoice instead.
Our new AI feature will read the payment details on your uploaded file, and pre-fill all the information you need to add a new recipient. Everything you need to pay them will be included, like their name, account number, and amount if you’ve used an invoice.
Give our new feature a go next time you send money to someone new — it’s available now to all personal and business customers on desktop, iOS, and Android.
When to use it
- Paying back a friend for dinner? If they send their bank details via WhatsApp or iMessage, just take a screenshot of their message and upload it when prompted.
- Paying an invoice? When a supplier emails a PDF invoice, just upload the file, and we’ll do the rest.
- Paying to a family member’s new account? If a family member switches banks and texts you their new details, just upload the screenshot to set up the payment to their new account instantly.
How to use it
- Open your Wise app, and tap ‘Send’
- Tap ‘Add recipient’ and, when prompted, upload your screenshot or invoice
- Review and approve
