The UOB PRVI Miles Credit Card is available with a minimum income of 30,000 - 40,000 SGD depending on your nationality, or you can get it as a secured card with a fixed deposit of 10,000 SGD. You earn UNI$ rewards which you can then convert to UOB Krisflyer credit card miles or to miles on Cathay Pacific if you’d prefer⁴.

As well as the option to use your rewards as miles, there’s UOB PRVI Miles lounge access which offers 4 complimentary airport lounge visits annually and some complimentary travel insurance included in the annual fee. You can apply for the card on Visa, Mastercard or American Express networks, and there are then different additional perks based on the card network selected. For example, Mastercard offers discounts with Booking.com, while Amex has local partners which offer promotional savings to card customers.
The UOB KrisFlyer Credit Card allows users to earn KrisFlyer Miles directly with no conversion needed. All miles earned are calculated at the end of each calendar month and automatically credited to the KrisFlyer membership account that is linked to your card⁶ - see them in the SIA app.

The points earning mechanic means that you get 3 miles per S$1 spend on Singapore Airlines, Scoot, KrisShop and Kris+ purchases, and then as long as you spend 800 dollars or more on these categories, you can also get up to 3 miles per S$1 spent on dining, food delivery, online shopping, online travel and transport spend. All other spending attracts 1.2 miles per S$1 spent on all other spend.
As well as KrisFlyer miles, you can also access SIA discounts and promotions, and get a fast track to KrisFlyer Elite Silver status when you charge a minimum of 5,000 SGD Singapore Airlines Group-related card transactions to your KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card within the first year.
The UOB Visa Signature Credit Card is designed for higher-income earners, with a relatively high annual fee alongside a comprehensive benefits program. The card provides access to a broad range of partner perks and discounts available. These do change from time to time, but include supermarket discounts on certain days, for example.

With the UNI$ rewards programme you can convert your UOB rewards to airline miles with the airline partners - SIA and Cathay. This is easily done and you may even be able to set up an automatic conversion.
The Krisflyer UOB credit card miles expiry can depend on the card you have - in some cases there are extensions on the expiry date you’re offered compared to with regular miles. Check in the UOB app or directly with KrisFlyer.
You can earn UOB miles on all eligible spend, according to the rates which are set by the card. There are usually some types of spending which are not eligible for earning, and also some categories of spending which attract higher earning rates. You’ll find all the details in the UOB app or in your terms and conditions document.
Once you have some UNI$, you need to know how to convert UNI$ to Krisflyer miles to use them against future flights and upgrades. You can also convert to Cathay Pacific miles if you’d prefer⁷.
You can make a Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer one-time conversion with a conversion fee of 25 SGD per redemption which allows you to convert blocks of 5,000 UNI$ to 10,000 KrisFlyer Miles.
Or you can make an Asia Miles one-time conversion to get Cathay Pacific miles, with a conversion fee of 25 SGD per redemption at the same rate of 5,000 UNI$ to 10,000 Asia Miles.
If you would rather, you can also sign up for the Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Auto-conversion programme which has an annual conversion fee of 50 SGD.
This is an opt-in programme, under which your UNI$ are automatically converted at the end of each month in blocks of 2,500 UNI$ to 5,000 KrisFlyer Miles. This starts once you accumulate at least 15,000 UNI$ rewards.
Miles credit cards are a good way to earn rewards for your everyday spending, but travel credit cards come with drawbacks. Foreign transaction fees, hidden exchange rate markups, high annual fees and unfavourable points-to-miles conversion rates can quickly eat into your rewards.
