How to pay using UnionBank Online

UnionBank Online is one of the most direct ways to pay your UnionBank credit card bill.

Here’s the general flow:

  1. Log in to UnionBank Online
  2. Go to the card payment or bills payment section
  3. Select your UnionBank credit card or the relevant credit card biller
  4. Enter the account, card or reference details requested in the app
  5. Enter the amount you want to pay
  6. Choose the account you want to pay from
  7. Review the card number, amount and payment details
  8. Confirm the payment
  9. Save the reference number or confirmation

UnionBank says bills paid through UnionBank Online are credited to the biller in real time, although the biller or merchant may take a few days to reflect the payment in its own system.²

If you pay close to your due date, keep your confirmation until your payment shows on your credit card account.

How to pay at a UnionBank branch

You can also pay your UnionBank credit card bill over the counter at UnionBank branches.

Bring your credit card statement or card details, then ask the branch what payment types are accepted. Keep the validated receipt until the payment is reflected on your account.

UnionBank’s May 2026 advisory says customers can pay through UnionBank branches nationwide for real-time payment crediting.³

How to pay UnionBank credit card via BPI

You can pay a UnionBank credit card through the BPI app or BPI online if the biller is available in your account.

BPI’s current biller list includes Unionbank Credit Card.⁴

Here’s the general BPI flow:

  1. Log in to the BPI app or BPI online through a web browser
  2. Go to Move Money
  3. Select Pay Bills
  4. Choose the BPI source account you want to pay from
  5. Go to All Billers
  6. Select Unionbank Credit Card
  7. Enter your card number, reference number or other details requested by BPI
  8. Enter the amount
  9. Review the details
  10. Confirm the payment

BPI says you can pay available billers through the BPI app or web browser without needing to add them as Favorites first. You can save billers as Favorites for future payments.⁵

Before confirming, check the biller name, card or reference number, payment amount and any fee shown in the app.

How to pay UnionBank credit card via InstaPay

Some banks and e-wallets may let you send funds to UnionBank through InstaPay, but don’t assume every app handles UnionBank credit card payments the same way.

InstaPay is a real-time Philippine peso fund transfer service available through participating banks and e-wallets. BancNet says InstaPay lets customers transfer PHP between participating BSP-supervised banks and non-bank e-money issuers in real time, 24/7.⁶

Union Bank of the Philippines is listed as an InstaPay participant in BSP’s InstaPay participant list.⁷

Here’s the general flow:

  1. Open your bank or e-wallet app
  2. Choose Send money, Transfer or the equivalent option
  3. Select InstaPay as the transfer method, if available
  4. Choose UnionBank as the receiving bank
  5. Enter the recipient, account, card or reference details requested by your app
  6. Enter your payment amount
  7. Review the transfer fee, recipient details and amount
  8. Confirm the transfer
  9. Keep the confirmation

InstaPay should be treated as a transfer route to verify in your sending app, not as a guaranteed direct UnionBank credit card bill payment channel. Some apps may ask for your 16-digit card number, while others may require a different recipient or reference field. Check the latest in-app instructions before paying close to your due date

What to know about BDO over-the-counter payments

UnionBank announced that over-the-counter payments for UnionBank Credit Card and Personal Loan via BDO will be discontinued effective July 20, 2026.

If you currently pay your UnionBank credit card over the counter at BDO, switch to another payment channel before that date. UnionBank recommends UnionBank Online or UnionBank branches for real-time payment crediting.³

After July 20, 2026, remove BDO over-the-counter payment from any evergreen guide or mark it as discontinued.

How long does UnionBank credit card payment posting take?

Payment posting depends on the channel you use.

UnionBank says payments through UnionBank Online are credited to the biller in real time, although the biller or merchant may take a few days to reflect the payment in its system. UnionBank also points customers to UnionBank Online and UnionBank branches for real-time payment crediting.

For payments made through BPI, InstaPay, another bank app or an e-wallet, check the confirmation screen before paying. Some transfers may be processed quickly, but posting to your credit card account can still depend on the payment channel, cut-off time, system status and the details you entered.

If your due date is close, use UnionBank Online or a UnionBank branch where possible and keep your confirmation until your payment appears on your account.

Are there fees for paying your UnionBank credit card?

Fees depend on the payment channel.

UnionBank Online or UnionBank branch payments may differ from payments made through another bank, e-wallet or InstaPay. Your payment app should show any transfer fee, service fee or convenience fee before you confirm.

Check the final amount before paying, especially if you’re using a third-party bank app or e-wallet.

Paying your UnionBank credit card from overseas

If you’re abroad, you’ll still need to use one of UnionBank’s available payment channels. For example, you may be able to pay through UnionBank Online, BPI, InstaPay or another local payment route if you have access to a supported Philippine account or wallet.

If your money is in another currency, you may need to convert or send it to Philippine pesos first. Once your money is in PHP and available in an account or wallet that supports UnionBank credit card payments, you can pay through one of UnionBank’s available channels.
