You can send balance transfers in Canadian dollars without limits– or you can send up to 25,000 CAD to an email address using Interac® e-Transfer.
If you want to send a large transfer, you’ll first need to verify your identity. Wise will ask for a few verification documents for your large transfer, such as a government-issued ID.
This keeps your money safe. It ensures your funds will reach your intended recipient – and it can stop someone from transferring a large payment from your account without permission.

You can use your Wise personal or business account to send money in US dollars. Simply select the “+” icon on your home screen and choose “Balance” to open a currency balance in USD.
Send 1,000,000 USD per local ACH transfer to the US – or 50,000 USD every 24 hours from your USD balance. Let’s take a closer look.

Use Wise to send SWIFT payments across Europe. This is an electronic payment method – and you’ll need your recipient’s IBAN to send your transfer overseas.
You can send up to 6 million EUR per transfer, but if you want to send more than 1.2 million EUR, you’ll first need to convert your balance into EUR.
You can send up to 10,000 EUR per transfer by card or via the payment provider Trustly® to send up to 1.2 million EUR directly from your Wise account.
You can use your Wise account to send direct GBP transfers to UK bank accounts – or send money outside the UK using the SWIFT network. You can typically send up to 1 million GBP per transfer, but this may depend on your payment method. For example, card payments typically have a lower transfer limit.
If you want to send more than 1 million GBP to your recipient, you’ll first need to open an account balance in GBP and convert your Canadian dollars.
There are a few different ways to send money in CNY with Wise, such as UnionPay, Alipay or Weixin.
Wise Business account holders can send unlimited bank transfers to businesses in China. However, this may depend on the currency you want to send.

You can use your Wise card to spend in over 150 countries, including options for personal account holders and Wise Business customers.
Use your Wise card to withdraw up to 7000 CAD abroad per month or spend up to 55,000 CAD per month online or in person.
You can also spend up to 82,500 CAD per month using your Wise Business card. This limit applies across your business account, so it’s shared between users.

The amount of money you can receive in your Wise account may depend on the transfer method and currency used.
For example, you can receive 20,000,000 USD per transaction from a USD account starting with 026. You can also request up to 25,000 CAD per day via Interac in your Wise account.

Your bank may limit how much you can spend via Wise. If you want to send a large transfer, speak to your bank to increase your limit.
Alternatively, you could try making your payment in-branch or send a series of smaller payments, rather than one big bank transfer.
You can change your Wise card spending limits in the Wise app. Simply follow these steps:
Step 1. Go to the “Card” tab
Step 2. Select “Limits”
Step 3. Select “Spending limits” or “ATM withdrawals”
Step 4. Choose your new transfer limit and click “Save”
If you have a Wise Business card, you can ask Wise to increase your monthly card spending limit using these steps:
Step 1. Go to the “Card” tab and select “Spending limits”
Step 2. Select “Change your spending limits”
Step 3. Select “Increase your spending limit”
Step 4. Choose your new monthly card spending limit and tell Wise why you need it
Wise will process your transaction limit request and tell you the outcome via email. If your request is denied, you can also ask for further review.
