What is the Varo Bank Zelle® limit?

Varo Bank is not in the Zelle® network.

While you can use Zelle® with other accounts, Varo offers 2 convenient money transfer features, including Varo to Varo and Varo to Anyone.

The Varo to Varo limit is up to 50 individual payments per calendar day and up to 2,000 USD per rolling 30-day window.² Once you’ve reached your limit, you’ll need to wait until the end of the rolling 30-day period.

If you need to send money to someone who isn’t a Varo customer, Varo to Anyone Instant Payments is a good option. Similar to other transfer types, you’ll need to go to the Varo to Anyone screen to see what your current limit is.³

Can I make an international wire transfer with Varo Bank?

No, you can’t directly make a wire transfer abroad with Varo Bank. That’s because the institution doesn’t have a SWIFT code, which is required for international transfers.

Instead, Varo partners with third-party wire transfer entities, specifically WorldRemit.⁴

WorldRemit is a well known and secure solution for sending money abroad. The company’s fees vary, and Varo may tack on its own fees as well.

How can you check your Varo Bank transfer limits?

Varo can adjust your transfer limits at any time. To check your Varo Bank transfer limit, log in to your account and select “Move Money.” Then, select “Transfer” and choose the account you’d like to check.

Can you increase your transfer limits at Varo Bank?

If you need to increase your transfer limits at Varo Bank, it’s best to contact the institution about possibly adjusting your cap.

In the US, there are no limits on international wire transfers. However, WorldRemit and other third-party wire transfer entities may impose their own limits on how much you can send.

Additionally, if you send more than 10,000 USD, your transaction will be subject to IRS reporting requirements.

What are Varo Bank’s transfer fees and charges?

Varo doesn’t charge any fees to use its Varo to Varo or Varo to Anyone feature.²

If you’re arranging a wire transfer with WorldRemit or another international payment entity, you’ll be subject to that company’s exchange rates and fees. Those fees can differ based on the type of wire you are sending (domestic or international) and where the money is going.
