If you need cash for your vacation, order euros from TD Bank before you head abroad, including same-day currency exchange at your local TD branch or TD Foreign Exchange Center.
We take a look at how to order euros from TD Bank, including any exchange rates, charges, and fees you’ll need to pay to exchange your US dollars for euros.
You can use your TD Bank account to buy over 55 foreign cash currencies online or in person.¹ You should be able to pick up your euros within 2 to 3 business days, but some orders can take a little more time to process.¹
You can also use TD Bank to exchange your euros back into US dollars when you return from your vacation.¹
However, you’ll need to order a minimum of 250 USD from TD Bank – and you can’t order more than 1500 USD online.² You’ll also need to use your TD debit card to pay for your digital foreign currency order.³
If you need euros immediately, TD Bank offers a same-day currency conversion service for customers. You can access this service at your local TD Bank branch or a TD Foreign Exchange Center.
This service is dependent on currency availability, so make sure to call ahead to confirm that your branch can complete your exchange.¹

Step 1. Go to TD Bank’s foreign currency website to start your order
Step 2. Select where you’re going and how much money you want to exchange. You’ll also need to choose whether you’d like mostly large bills, mostly small bills, or mixed bills
Step 3. Add your order to your cart and select “Checkout”. You can use your TD debit card to pay for your exchange
Step 4. Fill out your personal details and complete TD Bank’s online ID verification. You’ll also need to choose where you want to pick up your order⁴
Step 5. Pick up your cash. You’ll need to bring the ID you used to place your euro order, such as your passport or driver’s license³
If you’d prefer to exchange your cash in person, you can book an appointment with your local TD Bank branch to discuss your currency exchange options.¹
There are a few fees to consider before submitting your TD Bank euro order.
You’ll need to pay a transaction fee of 7.50 USD for your online foreign currency exchange. If you don’t collect your cash within 7 business days, you’ll need to pay 10 USD to get your euros.³
You’ll also pay to exchange your dollars for euros. Every bank sets its own exchange rates – and it’s important to look into how much your currency conversion will cost before you complete your order.⁴
TD Bank displays its exchange rates online, with regular updates and estimates for your order.⁴
As of 12 June 2024, TD Bank’s exchange rate is 1.1390000 USD = 1 EUR. If you exchange 500 USD, you’ll receive 438.98 EUR.⁴

You should be able to collect your euros within 2 to 3 business days – and you’ll receive confirmation of your order by email.³

You can’t order more than 1500 USD from TD Bank – and you can only exchange 4500 USD per month.³ You’ll also need to order at least 250 USD to qualify for your order.
Yes, you can buy euros on the TD Bank website, but you’ll need to visit a branch to pick up your order. You can also place your order in person at one of TD Bank’s 1100 US branches.⁷
Only TD Bank customers can order euros.³ You’ll need to order at least 250 USD and no more than 1500 USD to get euros from TD Bank.
If you need more than 1500 USD, you may need to place your order in multiple transactions or use a different provider.
You can only use your TD debit card to pay for your online foreign currency order. Speak to your local TD Bank associate for more information on the best way to pay for your euros.
