Can You Use Apple Pay on Amazon? (2024 Complete Guide)

Adam Rozsa

Wondering - can you use Apple Pay to buy on Amazon? The good news is that Amazon accepts Apple Pay - so you can use any of the payment methods in your Apple Wallet to make a purchase at a supported retailer, and verify your payment with Touch ID or your passcode.

If the retailer you’re using doesn’t accept Apple Pay, we have another option - use the Apple Card.

We’ll run through how both methods work in this guide, and we’ll also introduce the Wise card, which can be used with Apple Pay to spend online with merchants based overseas with no foreign transaction fee.

How to use an Apple Card on Amazon (or other cards in your Apple Wallet)

If the merchant you’re shopping with on Amazon is accepting payments with Apple Pay, you can use your preferred card in Apple’s Wallet to buy your items. Apple Pay supports a broad range of payment options like credit and debit cards - and you can also use your Apple Card on Amazon with Apple Pay.

Here’s how to pay with your card on Amazon, where a merchant will accept Apple Pay:

  • Look for the Apple Pay symbol at the checkout, and tap this option
  • Follow the prompts on screen to review your basket and shipping information
  • Confirm the payment with your password or biometrics

If the merchant isn’t accepting Apple Pay, you can still use your Apple Card on Amazon if you’d like, to pay directly from your phone. You’ll just need to add the Apple Card to Amazon as a preferred payment method:

  • Open the Amazon app
  • Tap the profile icon, then Your Account
  • Select Your payments, then +
  • Tap Add a credit or debit card, and enter your Apple Card details

However, you may also hold a balance in Apple Cash that you want to move back to your own bank or card. Here’s an outline of the process to transfer money from Apple Cash to a bank²:

  1. Open the Wallet app, tap the Apple Cash card, then More
  2. Tap Transfer to Bank, enter an amount, then tap Next
