GXBank FlexiCredit is an unsecured credit facility that works as an open line of credit². Rather than receiving a single lump sum upfront, you are granted an approved credit limit of up to RM150,000 – and from that limit, you can draw down cash instalment loans at a fixed interest rate. Each drawdown is then repaid over your chosen tenure.
That structure gives you flexibility. Instead of committing to a large loan in one go, you borrow only what you need, when you need it, and repay it in fixed instalments over a timeline that works for you.
In any case, easy access to credit is not an excuse to borrow more than you can comfortably repay. As with any financial product, only take on what your budget can realistically handle.
Compared to traditional bank loans in Malaysia, GXBank FlexiCredit stands out for its speed. Because the entire process is app-based¹, eligible users can get approved and access funds in minutes – skipping the typical processing delays.
The flip side? Easy access to a credit line requires discipline. Miss a monthly instalment and a 1% p.a. late charge applies on the overdue amount², from the overdue date right through to full payment. In more serious cases, GXBank may engage third-party collection agencies or pursue legal action – which can affect your credit rating and make future borrowing harder or more expensive.
The GXBank FlexiCredit interest rate starts from a 3.78% flat rate p.a., which translates to an Effective Interest Rate (EIR) of 6.45% p.a. Your actual rate depends on your credit profile and your chosen loan tenure – anywhere between 6 months and 5 years.
The fee structure is straightforward:
- Processing fees: RM0¹
- Stamp duty: Not applicable
- Early settlement fees: RM0
The only charge to watch out for is the late payment fee. Miss a monthly instalment, and GXBank applies a 1% p.a. charge on the overdue amount, running from the overdue date all the way to full payment.
Because this is a revolving facility, your available credit limit replenishes as you repay the principal³.
Here's a simple example. Say you have a RM30,000 credit limit and draw down RM3,000. Your remaining available limit drops to RM27,000. Pay off that RM3,000, and the full RM30,000 is restored. No new application, no extra paperwork.
Do take note that if your drawdown date and chosen repayment date fall on different days, a one-off Odd Day Interest (ODI) charge applies². This covers the interest from your drawdown date to your first repayment date, calculated daily on a 365-day year basis. If both dates happen to be the same, ODI doesn't apply at all.
It's also worth knowing that your final month's instalment may differ slightly from your regular monthly payments, due to interest rounding adjustments.
You can clear your debt ahead of schedule. To settle your loan early, simply do it yourself through the GX App² – or reach out to GXBank directly if you need any assistance with the process.

The eligibility criteria are pretty straightforward. To apply, you will need to meet all of the following:
- GXBank Account: You must have an existing GXBank account¹.
- Age: Between 21 and 64 years old.
- Income: A minimum monthly income of RM1,500.
- Employment: Salaried employees or self-employed individuals only.
The application is fully digital. Existing GXBank users simply open the app, log in, and find the FlexiCredit banner – either under 'For you today' on the 'Home' tab, or in the 'Discover' tab.
New users will need to download the latest GXBank app and create a Savings Account first. The good news? It takes less than four minutes. Do take note that you'll also need to turn on “credit product offers consent” before FlexiCredit becomes accessible. From there, just follow the guided steps, enter your details, and upload your required documents in PDF format – keeping each file below 3MB.
Once your credit limit is approved and activated, drawing down funds is simple. Here's how it works:
- On your FlexiCredit Dashboard, tap the "Drawdown" icon.
- Enter your desired drawdown amount and select your preferred tenure.
- Choose your monthly repayment date. You can even label the drawdown for your own reference – think "home renovation" or "wedding fund."
- Review the details and confirm.
- The funds land in your GX Savings Account in seconds.
If your FlexiCredit funds are earmarked for cross-border expenses – overseas university tuition, a destination wedding, international medical bills – how you use that money matters.
Here's the thing: FlexiCredit disburses funds in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). The moment you use a traditional bank card or wire transfer to cover overseas costs, currency exchange markups and foreign transaction fees kick in on top. These hidden charges quietly eat into your borrowed funds before they even reach their destination.
This is where the Wise Account comes in.
Transfer your MYR drawdown directly into a Wise Account, and convert using the mid-market exchange rate – the same rate you see on Google – with low, transparent fees and no markups woven into the rate. What you see is what you pay.
