Bank of Ireland new payee limit: how does it work?

Bank of Ireland has a fixed limit for new payees, which means you can only send a maximum of 1,000 EUR to any new recipients in the first 48 hours after adding them as a payee to your account. This is a combined limit, no matter how many new payees you add, and is set for your security.

If you need to send more than this during that time period, the Bank of Ireland transfer limit in branch may be higher - you can call the bank to talk through your options and understand how to process your urgent transaction.
