Frequent Flyer credit cards are generally credit cards that are associated with an airline's points reward program. These credit cards are targeted towards people who travel frequently and want to receive perks or accrue points with a particular airline when making purchases.
Frequent flyer points can be then used to redeem flights, in-flight extras or other reward items and services.
ANZ offers customers the choice between two frequent flyer credit cards including¹:
Both of these cards are aligned with the Qantas Frequent flyer program. Here are some further details about each card.
This credit card is the standard version of Qantas Frequent Flyer card for customers looking for a lower minimum credit limit, but still can accrue frequent flyer perks.
Customers who are approved for this card will earn per statement period¹:
Currently there is a limited time only Qantas Points offer for new customers where they can earn an extra 75,000 Qantas points if they spend $2,500 in the first 3 months. They will also receive $100 back onto their card.
This card allows customers to earn higher amounts of Qantas Frequent Flyer points on eligible purchases. Customers can earn per statement period²:
Similarly, there is a bonus Qantas Points offer for new customers where they can earn an extra 100,000 points and $250 cashback if $5,000 is spent on eligible purchases in 3 months from approval. For those who keep the card for 12 months, they can then receive a further 30,000 points.

As you can see, there are a few similarities between each credit card, however the ANZ Frequent Flyer Black card comes with a few extra perks.
One of the caveats with having a credit card, is that sometimes they can come with a range of fees. Here are some of the fees to expect when using either ANZ Frequent Flyer cards.

To get an ANZ frequent flyer card, you’ll need to meet certain eligibility requirements and provide supporting documentation.

There are two ways to apply. You can apply completely only or start your application only and have an ANZ representative reach out to you to help you complete it. Either way, there are a few documents you should have ready to provide to ANZ.

If you are an existing ANZ customer, you should have your ANZ account number or Customer Registration Number to input into your application.
Both these credit cards accrue Qantas points which can be put towards domestic or international flights with Qantas or their partner airlines.
Qantas points can also be used to upgrade your seat or add classic extras to booked flights, and book hotels.¹
For those that are not sure if they just want to accrue Qantas Points, ANZ have their own points credit cards where customers can gain ANZ Rewards Points. These points can be used to redeem other reward types.
There are a few things you need to keep in mind if you choose to apply for either card. These are around cash advance limits and statement periods.
Each statement period can vary per credit card and by customer based on when their accounts are approved and how long each month is. Points are accrued on a monthly basis.⁶
There is a cash advance limit of $1,000 per day. You can talk to ANZ to have this limit changed.⁷
