Amaysim’s international roaming allows Australian customers to use minutes, texts, and mobile data in over 90 countries via their international roaming packs.²
Roaming packs start from $20 AU and can be added to new/existing Amaysim SIM plans. They provide 365 days of usage which enables customers to use data plans for multiple visits abroad and can be stacked together if more data/minutes/texts are required. Your Australian phone number will remain the same, and unused roaming can be rolled over for up to 365 days from purchase.²

Internet data and coverage is available internationally with Amaysim roaming. To use internet data abroad, Amaysim customers would need to select from the following three plans, depending on how much internet data they require²:

The cost to use the Amaysim service abroad is dependent on which Roaming Pack you choose. Below are the four packages and the cost of each, these each have an expiry of 365 days²:
International roaming with Amaysim is activated manually via Settings when you add a Roaming Pack to your Amaysim plan. You can follow the below instructions to activate your international roaming²:

Roaming usage with amaysim can be tracked by logging into the amaysim app and swiping up from the home screen to view your latest Roaming Pack details.²
You can also view your recent charges via the International Roaming Charges section within the app. It’s worth bearing in mind that there may be a small delay in receiving roaming usage due to delays in receiving this data from roaming partners.²

VoLTE international roaming is short for Voice over Long Term Evolution, which allows you to make voice calls via the Optus 4G Plus network. It’s available wherever this network reaches, and allows you to achieve quicker call connection times with better audio quality over a 4G connection.³
This can be set up on your phone by navigating to Settings and enabling VoLTE within the mobile data/networks section.³
Emergency calls can be made while abroad for free using either 112 or 000 from your amaysim number.⁴
While abroad, SMS, calls, and data will be available to use with an Amaysim package.²
MMS messages are charged separately when travelling to other countries - these will cost $0.75 AU per standard MMS message.
