You can place your order either online or in person at any TD Bank location. Your currency will typically become available for pickup within 2 to 3 business days.¹

TD Foreign Exchange Centers and some TD Bank locations sometimes have foreign currency available for immediate exchange.²
Popular currencies that you can often pick up on the same day include:²
- European euros
- Great British pounds
- Canadian dollars
- Mexican pesos

- Japanese yen
- Swiss francs
So, you may be able to visit TD Bank and get pesos on the same day, but it's subject to availability.
You have 2 main options for ordering pesos from TD Bank: online ordering (for TD Bank customers only) or in-person at a branch location.
To order pesos online:
- Log into your TD Bank online banking account or mobile app
- Find the foreign currency ordering section
- Select your desired currency
- Enter your order amount (minimum 250 USD total order)³
- Review the exchange rate and fees
- Choose your pickup location
- Complete your purchase (you must use your TD debit card)
- Follow pickup instructions
To order pesos in person:
- Visit a TD Bank location
- Bring valid government-issued photo ID (passport or driver's license)
- Speak with a TD Bank representative
- Tell them the amount of pesos you want to order
- Choose your pickup location
- Follow pickup instructions
Orders typically become available for pickup within 2 to 3 business days.¹ Sometimes they can take longer, but pesos are a popular foreign currency, so you shouldn't run into too many hiccups.
TD Bank will hold your foreign currency order for 7 business days. If you don't collect it on time, it'll be shipped out and your debit card will be credited the USD back. TD Bank will also charge you an additional 10 USD fee.³
Keep in mind that you can't cancel your foreign currency order once you place it. You can exchange it back to USD, but you'll lose money on exchange rates and may have to pay additional fees.³
TD Bank charges a 7.50 USD fee for each online foreign currency order. You'll be charged the fee when you submit your request.¹
For in-person orders, check with your local branch.
An exchange rate determines how many pesos you'll receive in exchange for USD.
Banks, including TD Bank, make money on currency exchange by adding a markup to the mid-market rate (the rate you see on Google).¹
This means you'll typically get slightly less foreign currency, and TD Bank will pocket the difference.

TD Bank sets maximum currency exchange limits to protect customers. For online orders, you can't get more than 1,500 USD worth of foreign currency in a single 24-hour period, and your monthly transactions can't exceed 4,500 USD.³
There are minimum order limits, too. Your total order must be at least 250 USD. If you're ordering multiple currencies, each currency type needs to be worth at least 25 USD.³
