A study of Brasileiros living in the US
Did you know that there are 335,608 people living in the US who were born in Brazil?
We did some research to find out as much as we could about Brazilian expats here in the US. And we think we found some pretty interesting stuff.
It’s no surprise that New York is home to the largest concentration of Brazilians. However, the small town of Framingham, Massachusetts, which lies about 20 miles out from Boston, is where you are most likely to run into a Brazilian. For every 12 people you meet, at least one was born in Brazil!
Pulling in data from over 330,000 social media profiles, we were able to determine just what interests Brazilian expats who live in the US.
They prefer Budweiser to Skol, Guaraná to 7UP and Neymar Jr to pretty much any other celebrity or athlete. Perhaps most surprisingly, Donald Trump has a larger Facebook following among Brazilians than Hillary Clinton, albeit perhaps for entertainment value as much as anything else.
Take a look further down to see what else we found!
