One step closer to our mission of money without borders in Singapore — moving money instantly, transparently, and eventually for free.

What’s a linked bank account?

When you link your bank account with Wise, you’re authorising electronic General Interbank Recurring Order (eGIRO) payments for your Wise transactions.

eGIRO is a type of electronic payment option where you have your bank directly move money from your account to the payee's account.

In this case, once you’ve linked your bank account to Wise, you can approve future payments to Wise from your bank within the Wise app. No more hassle with fussy details like account or reference numbers.

Is it safe?

Yes, you can only link your own bank account to your Wise account and we have also implemented 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) to ensure it’s you authorising a transfer. You'll also have the opportunity to set up transaction limits with your bank when you link your bank account to Wise.

How much can I send?

You can send up to SG$5,000 per transfer.

How long does it take for the money to arrive?

It takes us less than 20 seconds to receive your payment. How long the whole process will take depends also on where you’re sending money and the type of account the money is sent to. We’ll provide an estimation on how long it’ll take for your money to reach the other side.
