As we’ve mentioned, you may run into a couple of important Ria to GCash eligibility requirements:

  2. Select Verify Now, and then tap Get Started
  3. Read through the verification requirements, and tap Next
  4. You’ll be sent an authentication code - enter this and tap Next
  5. Enter your birthday and confirm you are a Filipino citizen - tap Next
  6. Choose which government ID to use to get verified, upload and image and take a selfie scan
  7. Review your account information and tap Submit

When they arrange your payment, the sender will be able to see the Ria to GCash transfer limits which apply. These may vary a bit depending on where the sender is based and how they’ve set up their Ria account. If the payment exceeds their limits with Ria, they’ll be notified when they create the transfer.

Ria to GCash Transfer: Step-by-Step Guide

Your sender can make a Ria to GCash transfer in the GCash app. While Ria does support other payment options, including cash payments, when sending to a mobile wallet the sender must first download the Ria app.

Here’s how to make a Ria to GCash transfer, step by step6:

  1. Log into your Ria account in app
  2. Tap Send or Send money now
  3. Enter how much to send and chose Mobile wallet as the Delivery method
  4. Review and tap Continue
  5. Enter your recipient’s details
  6. Choose GCash as the wallet provider and add the recipient’s registered mobile number
  7. Review details of the transfer and tap Confirm

How long does a Ria to GCash transfer take?

The Ria to GCash processing time is usually very quick. In fact, when sending to a mobile wallet, payments can be received in minutes in many cases.

Once the money is on the move, Ria to GCash tracking information will be available to the sender within the Ria app.

Ria to GCash fees could include an upfront transfer cost, paid by the sender, as well as an exchange rate markup, which is a fee added into the exchange rate being used to convert from the sender’s home currency to PHP.
