VoLTE stands for Voice over Long-Term Evolution or Voice over LTE. VoLTE allows compatible devices to make voice calls via the LTE/4G mobile network.
Offering better sound quality, VoLTE is increasingly required to make calls as the 3G network has begun to be phased out globally. VoLTE is included with all Coles mobile plans, to use, simply turn on VoLTE in network device settings.⁷
Ensuring you have VoLTE calls enabled with Coles Mobile should also ensure that in an emergency you can connect with any available network when calling an emergency number overseas.
Either dial the known emergency services number for the country you are in, or 112 if unknown which should direct you to the relevant authority.
