If the applicant resides overseas, he/she may submit the application forms together with the relevant supporting documents at the nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate. If the applicant currently is in mainland China, he/she might submit via the Immigration Division of the Office of the Government of the HKSAR in Beijing or the Immigration Division of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Shanghai.
