The information in this article only applies to you if you live in the US.
Learn more about the Wise card if you live outside the US.
We have temporarily paused issuing new Wise cards in the US.
This means that if your address is in the US, and you have not had a Wise card before, you temporarily won’t be able to request a new digital or physical card.
When can I start ordering new cards?
At this time, we don’t have an exact date for when the card program will be available for new US customers. Launching cards for personal customers is a priority for our team, and we're working hard to make this happen as soon as possible.
In the meantime, you can sign up to the waitlist, so we can let you know as soon as new cards are available.
I already have a card, what's changing for me?
If you already have a US Wise card, you can continue to use it as before:
Spend with your existing Wise card online, in store and get cash out from an ATM
Spend with your Wise card in the US and other supported regions
Send, convert, hold and receive money on your Wise account as usual
Pay for monthly subscription services with your active card
I moved to the US and can't use my old card
For example, if you lived in the UK and had a UK issued Wise card, and then moved to the US, your UK card won't work anymore.
Card licences are specific for different countries and regions and do change depending on where you’re located.
Why is Wise making changes to its operations?
Our priority at Wise is to offer the best experience possible for our customers. We continually invest in our operations and network, and there are times we need to make changes to parts of our products to ensure reliability and enhance our services for our customers.
As part of this, it’s possible you’ll be hearing from us to ask for updated information or to verify details about yourself or your business. Please know this is important for both our operations and to keep our services running smoothly for you.
