You have two options when sending money from CNY:
You can send CNY from your Wise balance. If you choose this option, the requirements below don’t apply.
You can set up a bank transfer from your Chinese bank account or send from your Alipay app. When sending CNY from your bank account in China or from Alipay, you'll need to send us additional documents so we can verify you.

When registering, you'll be prompted to take a photo of your passport and a selfie in real time so make sure to have your passport with you.
Your tax record should cover the longest time period possible as we use your tax record to calculate how much you can send out of China. The longer you've paid taxes in China, the more you can send.
If my residence permit has expired can I still send from CNY?
Yes. The same applies for the other work eligibility documents that we accept, e.g. Visa, as you only need to prove that you were once eligible to work in China.
How should I obtain my Personal Income Tax Record?
Refer to this step-by-step guide for how to obtain this document. You can also provide screenshots of your tax record from the tax authority’s website.
Do I need to get my documents translated?
There's no need to translate the document — you can send them to us in their original language.
How long does verification take?
We'll start reviewing your documents once we've received your funds. The verification process takes 1-2 working days.
After successfully verifying you, we'll automatically pay out your transfer and inform you via email.
