How do I use Wisetag?

What is a Wisetag?

A Wisetag is an easy and fast way for receiving or requesting money from other Wise users, completely free.

How can I receive money using Wisetag?

To receive money, you can share your Wisetag link or QR code. This allows other Wise users to send you money, even if they don't have your mobile phone number or account details.

To enable your Wisetag go to Payments, click on Your Wisetag and click Get your Wisetag. You can then share your Wisetag link or QR code with anyone.

On iOS and Android, you can also go to Home, click below your profile picture in the top, and enable your Wisetag by pressing the button Get your Wisetag.

How can I send money using Wisetag?

To send money, all you need is the person's Wisetag. You can open their link or scan their Wisetag QR code with your phone. 

Is this feature available to all Wise users?

Wisetags are available to all personal accounts that have a balance with account details.

People cannot find me using my Wisetag, what can I do?

Ensure your Wisetag is toggled on and discoverable.

1. On the web, go to Payments on the left-hand side.

2. Click on Get your Wisetag or Your Wisetag.

3. Under the QR code and Wisetag, click on Change Discoverability. You can now customise how senders find you in our app and website.

You can also contact us if you want to change your Wisetag to a shortened name, your first name, or last name.
