*Local withdrawals in Japan are typically only supported at AEON, E-net, and Daily Yamazaki ATMs, though it's not guaranteed. Choose “international cards” if prompted on the ATM.
**For US MasterCard, you can view your balances and change your PIN from the app or web.
If you don’t know of any ATM near you, you can use the Mastercard ATM locator or Visa ATM locator to find one.
Withdrawing Cash
You can make 2 free withdrawals each month. After that, you’ll pay a fixed fee per withdrawal.
There’s also a variable fee on anything you take out over a certain amount.
The exact fees you pay depend on where your card was issued — it’s usually the registered address on your Wise account.

Changing your PIN
Non-US cardholders can change your PIN from supported ATMs. US Mastercard cardholders can change your PIN from the app or web.
The ATM must support PIN changes for cards other than those with the ATM's issuer. This is more common in the EEA and UK.

Checking your balance
The best way to check your balance is on the Wise app or website.
You can check your balance at ATMs as well, but they don't always give you accurate information. You can't check your balance at ATMs if your card was issued in the US.
Troubleshooting
Sometimes you'll run into issues when trying to use your Wise card at an ATM so here's what you can do:
What if the ATM asks for a 5 or 6- digit PIN?
If you’re asked to enter a 5 or 6-digit PIN at an ATM, all you need to do is add extra zeros to the end of your PIN.
First try with your regular 4-digit PIN
If that doesn’t work, then add an additional “0” or “00” to the end of your PIN
For example, if your PIN is "4321" you would enter "432100".
Note: in Malaysia you need to add the extra zeros at the beginning.
What if the ATM asks if my Wise card is debit or credit?
The Wise card is a debit card, so for most ATMs just select the debit option.
For ATMs in Singapore, Australia or New Zealand, debit might not be an option so you can select credit.
An ATM didn't give you your cash for an ATM withdrawal
Contact the ATM provider as they should be able to help with an error on their machine.
You got charged the wrong rate
If you were charged the wrong rate when using your Wise card, it's likely because the ATM converted your money at a marked up exchange rate. To avoid that, you should let us handle the conversion.
