We might ask to verify your business’s address when you use Wise. As a financial institution, we need to know the details of businesses that use our service and where they physically operate. It helps us combat money laundering, and keep everyone’s money safe.
When we verify your business address, we’ll ask you to share a document that has the same address as the address that you provided on your Wise account.
Business address types
For businesses, we need to collect two addresses from you:
Your registered address, or incorporation address, is the address you incorporated your business with and the one listed on your official business registration documentation.
Your trading address, or your primary place of business, is the physical location that you run your business from every day. For example, your home, office, or studio, or where customers can come to physically interact with your business such as . your storefront.
Your trading address cannot be any of the following address types:
PO box
Mail forwarding or receiving service
Virtual address
Business registration agency
Attorney office
For example, you may have a business registered in the US, but you manage the business from your residence in the UK. The US address would be your registered address and your UK address would be the trading address.
