SEPA countries and IBANs

Below is a list of SEPA countries (and corresponding information about IBANs of each country) that Wise can send euros (EUR) to and from locally.

However, some banks may not be SEPA compliant so we may need to send via Swift instead.

Here's the list of countries with:

• the first 2 letters of that countries IBAN

• the number of characters in the IBAN

  • For example, for Italy (IT, 27), the IBAN starts with IT, and there are 27 characters in Italian IBANs

• Austria (IBAN begins with AT, number of characters 20)

• Andorra (AD, 24)

• Belgium (BE, 16)

• Bulgaria (BG, 22)

  • We can also send Bulgarian lev to Bulgaria.

• Croatia (HR, 21)

• Cyprus (CY, 28)

• Czech Republic (CZ, 24)

  • We can also send and receive Czech koruna to and from the Czech Republic.

• Denmark (DK, 18)

  • We can also send and receive Danish krone to and from Denmark.

• Estonia (EE, 20)

  • Includes Åland Islands.

• Finland (FI, 18)

• France (FR, 27)

  • Includes French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Martin (French part), Saint Pierre and Miquelon, and Réunion Island.

  • Does not include French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Wallis and Futuna, or French Southern and Antarctic Lands.

• Germany (DE, 22)

  • We can also send British pounds to Gibraltar.

  • We can also send and receive Hungarian forint to and from Hungary.
