Account details are a set of details for a currency to receive money.
Once you have your USD account details, you’ll have your own account and routing number where you can receive United States dollars.
This isn’t a bank account, but you can receive money in the same way by sharing the details with friends, family, clients or companies, so that they can send you money.
They can pay you locally from their bank in the US, or internationally by Swift. Once you receive the money, it’ll be credited to your USD balance.

You’ll first need to open a USD balance. Then Get your account details and follow the steps.

To see your details once you’ve got them, on the app or web:
Go on your USD balance
Select the account details button just under the currency
You can view and copy your local account details to share with others
If you want to get paid internationally by Swift — toggle Global ・ Swift at the top
You can also request a payment from your sender or download an account details document.
How your USD account details work
Here are some general details about your account details.

Keep in mind that you can only receive USD to your USD account details. Other currencies will be rejected back to the sender.
Payments from inside the US
If your sender’s USD bank account is in the US then share your local USD details for receiving ACH or domestic wire payments.
The sender’s bank will give them an estimate when they set up the payment — for any details about how long it takes, reach out to your sender so they can ask their bank.
Payments from outside the US
If your sender’s USD bank account is outside the US, share your global Swift account details with the person who wants to pay you. They can send Swift payments to your account from most places in the world.
Make sure they include your address for the payment — we have to reject Swift payments that don’t have addresses.
There’s a small fee to receive international payments in USD and correspondent banks might apply their own fees.

Frequently asked questions
How should my sender enter my account details?
Your sender will need to enter your account details in their bank’s online form or let a banker fill it out in person or over the phone. Here’s more info about your details:
Account holder – your name as it appears on your Wise Account
ACH or Wire routing number - your routing number ending in 3150 or 9519
Account number – this is your unique account number
Account type – Checking
Bank name and address – our partner institution’s details that processes your incoming payments.
Swift/BIC – only used for international payments sent from outside the US.
When setting up the transfer, your sender should add your account details manually instead of selecting the bank name.
Your sender's bank may ask for an e-teller ID, but your account doesn’t have this.
What’s the difference between ACH and wires?
ACH (ABA) payments, also known as electronic money transfers, are the most common payment method in the US. They’re usually free, or cost a lower fee for your sender and they typically take 1–3 working days to reach Wise.
ACH is commonly used for salary, direct deposits, platform earnings and any non-urgent payment.
Wire payments, also known as domestic wires, are faster, but are usually more expensive than ACH. Wires typically cost 20-30 USD for the sender, and there’s a small fee to receive wires to your USD Wise account details. Wires typically arrive within 1 working day.
Wires are commonly used for large or urgent payments such as for real estate, car purchases or large investments.
What if my sender used the wrong account details?
If money was sent to the wrong account details, we may have to reject the money back to the sender, or in some cases it won’t even reach us.
To get the money back to the sender it usually takes:
3-5 working days for domestic payments
5-10 working days for Global Swift payments
If the money hasn’t gotten back to them in that time, they should get in touch with their bank to set up a trace on the money. We can’t track money that was sent to the wrong details.
