Wise is required to hold accurate and up-to-date information about our personal and business customers’ addresses at all times in order to provide our services. Below you can find more information on the types of addresses we can accept from personal and business customers, as well as why we might be requesting additional/updated information from you.

Personal customers
Acceptable address types
For personal customers, you must have a physical address. This should be the home or apartment where you reside. Your physical address cannot be any of the following address types:
PO box
Mail forwarding or receiving service
Virtual address
Business registration agency
Attorney office
How to add or edit your personal address
On Web:
Click on your name in the top right corner of your account
Click on Personal details
Click on Edit details and enter your password
Click on Edit details again
Scroll down and enter your physical address
Click Save and you’re good to go!
On the app:
Tap on your profile icon in the top left corner of your account
Tap Personal details
Scroll down and enter your physical address
Click Save and you're good to go!
Keep in mind you might still see a banner on your Wise account as it takes some time for us to review the changes. Once your physical address is verified, the banner will be removed.

Business customers
Acceptable address types
For businesses, we need to collect two addresses.
The first is your registered address, which is the address listed on your official business registration or documentation.
The second is your trading address, which must be a physical location. This is where you usually work every day (e.g. your home, office, or studio), or where customers can come to physically interact with your business (e.g. your storefront). Your trading address cannot be any of the following address types:

Mail forwarding or receiving service
Virtual address
Business registration agency
Attorney office
For some businesses your registered address and trading address might be the same. If that’s the case, then both will be physical addresses.
How to add/edit your business address
Select your business name in the top right corner of your account
Select Business Details
Scroll down to Trading addresses and select Edit
Enter your physical trading address.
Click “Save” and you're good to go!

Why do I need to update my address?
We know that you provide information to us when you join Wise, but sometimes we need to request up-to-date information about your identity.
We may ask you for this to comply with regulatory requirements. If you receive an email from us about an address update, please follow the instructions and provide the necessary information and documents to continue using your Wise account.
When do I need to update my address?
Please check the email that we sent you for more information on the date you need to update your physical or trading address by.
What happens if I don’t update my address?
Unfortunately, if you miss the deadline we’ll need to suspend your USD account details.
What happens once I’ve updated my address?
We’ll review your updated address to make sure that it complies with our regulatory requirements.
Keep in mind you might still see the banner on your Wise account as it takes some time for us to review the changes. Once your address is verified, the banner will be removed.
