When you need to be paid, for example from your friends or family, you can send the payer your account details and ask for a payment. But with your Wise account, you can also create a direct payment request to your payer. Once they pay you, it’ll get deposited directly to your balance.

Before you request money
You'll need to have at least one set of account details open before requesting any money. Check our individual pages for each currency account details to see what your account can receive.
If you’re requesting money from someone with a Wise account, you can request money in any currency — as long as you’ve opened account details for at least one balance. If they don’t have a Wise account, you can only request money from them in a currency you have account details for.
Learn more about receiving money to your balance
If you request money from other Wise users, we'll notify them about your request via email or a push notification — you'll just need to sync your contacts first.
How to request money
You can create a payment request from a few different places in your Wise account — from your currency balance, from the Payments tab, or from your existing Wise contacts by going on the Recipients tab.
You can select Request from the home screen, or go to the currency balance and select Receive. If the person is a Wise user, select or enter them from the list. If they're not a Wise user, just select Anyone to create a payment link that you can share with your payer. It will include a QR code with your Wisetag.
Checking your payment requests
You can see all of your active and inactive payment requests.

Fees and limits

Check our pricing page to see the latest fees for receiving money — just set it to your region.
What if I get a payment request from someone?
If you're getting a request from a Wise user to pay them, you'll get a push notification or email, depending on your notification settings. If you haven't paid or declined it, the request will remain in your account activity for 30 days as a Task on the top of the Home page. You can always turn your profile off for visibility if you don't want others to be able to send you requests.
If you don't have Wise, and someone shared a link with you, you'll see the amount, currency and bank details you'll need to send money to. Never pay a request from a contact you don’t recognise.
Wise will never request a payment from you through this feature.
