This feature is currently unavailable to new Wise Business customers.
You can use Wise to accept card payments from your customers, giving them another way to pay for your goods or services.
With a Wise Business account in the EEA, the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand or Singapore, you can request a payment from anyone and send them a link to pay by credit or debit card. This feature isn't available yet in other places.
To ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, certain business types are restricted from using this feature. If we have classified your business as one of these types, you will not see the option to accept card payments.
Please note that in some cases, we may not be able to provide this feature even if your business type is eligible. We're working on expanding this product and hope that this feature can be made available to more businesses in future.
Business types with limitations
The following business types are not eligible to use the "Get Paid by Card" feature due to legal, regulatory, or policy reasons:
Adult Content and Services: Businesses involved in the sale or distribution of adult content.
Alcohol and Tobacco: Businesses engaged in the sale of alcohol or tobacco.
Auction and Marketplace: Businesses selling products on behalf of others. Auctions and online marketplaces are not eligible.
Charitable and Non-Profit Organisations: Charitable activities are not eligible.
Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals: Businesses dealing with chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or operating as pharmacies.
Crowdfunding and Investments: Crowdfunding platforms and investment services are restricted.
Cryptocurrency and Financial Services: Cryptocurrency financial services, other financial services, insurance, and money service businesses are not eligible.
Firearms and Military: Businesses involved in firearms, weapons, and military goods/services.
Gambling and Gaming: Gambling, betting, online gaming, and video gaming businesses are not eligible.
Healthcare and Medical Services: Dental services, medical services, and the sale of medical equipment are restricted.
High-Risk and Regulated Products: Businesses dealing in legal highs and related accessories are not eligible.
Holding and Real Estate: Holding companies and real estate activities are restricted.
We may have additional restrictions on other business types. We will inform you if your business is eligible when you apply for the feature.
How to start accepting card payments
If your business doesn't fall under a restricted category, you can apply to start accepting card payments. You'll need a Wise Business account.
