I'm seeing the error message "We are unable to send an SMS to your number"

Sometimes, we can't send out an SMS to phone numbers for security reasons.

This can happen if you requested 2-step verification too many times, or because of our internal verification checks for your number.

What if I didn't get an SMS?

If we couldn't send an SMS to your number, you can use another method:

  1. Select Try another way.

  2. Then complete your 2-step verification using WhatsApp, Voice, or other methods available to you.

  3. After you’re able to login, we recommend that you set up alternative 2-step verification methods (e.g. Passkeys or Wise app notifications) to avoid future issues with SMS.

If you're still having issues read more about 2 step-verification troubleshooting, or just get in touch with us and our team will take a look into your case.

We understand that this cause some inconveniences, but we're committed to keeping your account safe and to help you through this process as much as we can.
