This is currently only available to customers with an address in New Zealand and the UK
Group Spending, also known as Groups, is a way for you to spend with others on your personal Wise Account. You can do this by sending an invite to another Wise user you want to share your expenses with, such as a family member, friend, partner, roommate, or anyone else.
This feature is currently available to every Wise user with a personal account registered in New Zealand and the UK at no extra cost. You can use every currency available on Wise.
How does Group Spending work?
In New Zealand and the UK, Group Spending works as a 3-party account access.
It's different from a joint account. Group Spending has one owner who controls the access and money, with one or more members. A joint account has two owners who share the account rights equally.

Owner and Member
Group Spending includes two parties: the Owner and the Member.
The Owner is the person who sets up Group Spending. They have full control over the money on the Group Spending balances, even if the money is added in by the Member.
The Member is the person who has accepted the invite from the Owner to join Group Spending. Members have rights that the Owner assigns, for example ordering a digital card. Everyone can see the transactions.
The Owner legally owns all the money contributed to the group. This means when the Member adds money to the group, they can only spend it from the group — they won't be able to move it to their own Wise account.

How do I set up Group Spending as an Owner?
On either app or web home screen:
Select New (or the + icon in iOS) — you might have to scroll to the far right
Select Spend with a group
Follow the instructions
The person you want to add needs to have a Wise account. You can add them using their name, Wisetag, email address, or phone number.
How can I be added as a Member?
Make sure that you're searchable in Wise. To do this:
Go to your profile from the top of the screen
Under Privacy, go on Find me by and toggle your preferred methods
You can change these settings any time, even after you join Group Spending.
If you've already been invited, just open the invite and review the details — accept it if you agree to join the group. You can also order your digital card during this review.
Never accept invites from people you don’t know.
What countries is this available in?
You can only use Group Spending with someone who lives in the same country or region as you.
Right now, this feature is available for Wise customers in New Zealand and the UK, shared with other Wise account holders with an address in one of those countries.
How many groups can I join?
You can be a part of two groups.
How can I remove someone from a Spending Group?
If you're the Owner, you can simply remove the Member from the group's Sharing option.
Can I remove myself from a Spending Group?
Yes, just go into the group and select Leave group.
If you leave the group as a Member:
you'll no longer have access to the money in the shared group
your digital card will be cancelled
If you leave the group as the Owner, move all the money back to your personal balance before you close the group.
